Travel and Location

Glenloy Lodge is situated just off the B8004 Banavie to Gairlochy road approximately half way (4.5 miles or 7 kilometres) between these two villages, and some 7 miles (11 kilometres) from the centre of Fort William. Travelling north from Banavie we are approximately 200m down the only road off to the left (west), signposted Glen Loy – there is a large green sign for Glenloy Lodge Guest House at the end of this road. The guest house is on your left and is indicated by two marked pillars at the end of the drive.

Glenloy Lodge from the road.

From the south, pass through Fort William on the A82 in the direction of Inverness . About a mile (1.4km) out of Fort William take the A830 to your left at a mini-roundabout signposted for Mallaig (the Road to the Isles). Follow this for a further mile until you cross the Caledonian Canal, over a swing bridge at Banavie, and turn immediately right on the B8004 signposted to Gairlochy.

From the north take the A82 from Inverness and turn right onto the B8004 (signposted Banavie) at the Commando Memorial just north of Spean Bridge .

The ‘Green Option'

There are regular trains from Glasgow to Fort William and a good City Link bus service to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness. The train journey is noted as one of the most scenic in Britain . We will be happy to collect visitors from either the bus or train station in Fort William by arrangement and also to drop you off again at the end of your stay.
