Almost all typically Scottish species such as Red Deer, Otter, Pine Marten, Wild Cat, Golden Eagle, Sea Eagle, Divers and Crested Tit are found either in or within easy reach of Glen Loy. A varied and spectacular coastline provides ample opportunities for viewing sea mammals and birds. We also take time to look out for the some of the beautiful and fascinating plants and insects special to the region. By visiting a range of habitats we have the chance of seeing a wide selection of the wildlife that make Scotland such an exciting wildlife destination

We encourage visitors to record the wildlife seen. These wildlife records will then be passed on to the relevant recording schemes for use in conservation and education. Where possible we will also make a contribution to recording schemes such as the current BTO Bird Atlas project.
